How much difference is there between the DBA slotted replacement rotors and the OEM rotors?
My braking situation needs some attention. I was originally planning to replace everything with replacement DBA rotors and Hawk HPS pads. However I would really like to get at least a Stoptech 332 BBK for the front, but don't have the budget for it now. My front rotors were replaced less than 12k miles ago, to pass the time until I can get the BBK I was thinking about getting the OEM rotors recut and placing the pads with the Hawks HPS's.
My question is: is there a noticable difference between the OEM rotors and the DBA's for street driving? Will I have a problem with the OEM rotors and the Hawk pads?
As for my rears, I was planning on doing the same unless the rear rotors are shot....then should I simply replace the rears with the AWE-DBA slotted look-a-likes or upgrade to the S8 rears?

I have DBA Slotted rotors and Hawk HPS all around.
For street there are no issues. I'm very happy.
The initial bite maybe just a little less than OEM, however the ability to modulate the brakes under moderate to heavy braking maneuvers is FAR improved. Additionally, the fade resistance is greatly increased. I did 4 high speed break in stops, ~100 to ~5 back to back. On the 4th stop, the brakes finally faded a good bit.
Low dust, great wear, no issues in what little rain I get here in nor-cal.
Hope that helps.
