How much should I sell my S4 for?
I have a 2000 Black/Black Tip. S4. 16,000 Miles in 1 year and 2 months of use. Only things I have done to the car is clear out the headlights and install a V1. All my rims are somewhat scratched up and the spare is completely dented (I don't know if it can be salvaged). The only real physical damage to the car are a few dents and gouges to the rear fender. The car currently has Michellin Winter tires on it and I still have 4 of the original pirelli's which are somewhat worn. The car is fully equipped with everything except navigation. The car is near mint on the inside.
What kind of price should I be asking for? Thanks.

Ask $33K (see details)
I looked into this because I bid on a used
S4 on EBay. (I'm not interested in your car
because it's a tiptronic.)
On EBay, auctions for a car like yours
typically stall at $28-29K. Sellers
prefer to retain the car at these prices.
I won an auction at $28K and the seller
told me he wouldn't accept less than $35K.
Edmunds claims "true market value" for your car is
$33,500 or so.
I think that this is a not
right because a _new_ 2000 S4 would now sell
for pretty close to invoice, or about $38K with all the options. In fact some have told of new 2001 S4s sold at invoice recently. You should expect to discount by ~15% from this price for your one year of use.
This brings my estimate to about $32K.
Ask for more, the buyer may try to bargain
you down.
I would be interested to know whether you do
manage to sell, and what the final price is.
