How risky is driving on a Blowtenza with a bubbled sidewall?
I hit a pothole yesterday that sounded like metal-to-asphalt contact. Later that day - I noticed a bubble in the sidewall.
My spare is mounted for opposite rotation, so I need to get it reversed.
How dangerous is driving on the blowtenza with a bubbled sidewall? The bubble is about 2" diameter and sticks out maybe 3/8"

i hear it is EXTREMELY dangerous;anything will make that thing pop. its like an anyurism (M)
i have driven on bubbled potenzas for a few miles, just not @ high speeds in case that puppy blows. i was on a drive with some guys yearturday, and one of them was driving 110 + mph on a bubbled potenza and he had no probs, but i dont think it was the smartest thing to be doing.

Well, the worst that can happen is you lose the control of your car, steering wheel locks and total
your car. That is what happneed to my brother in his A6 a year ago because of a small bubble in his front left tire that he ignored to fix.

IMHO, you're better off with reverse mounted spare.
I've driven on it like that. On the other hand I have driven 600 miles on a "bubbled" tire. Sure you might feel a very slight handling difference, but it's better than taking the chance of the "bubble" bursting. Use the spare.
