I changed my TBB and did not notice ANY tears, I put a samco TBB in place but the stock clamps dont

Default I changed my TBB and did not notice ANY tears, I put a samco TBB in place but the stock clamps dont

seem tight enough. can you see the tears in the TBB?

Yes you can. Look on the inside of the TBB where it attaches to the TB, thats where mine broke

I would probably get a set of better hose clamps rather than audi's crap ones

Default Don't use stock clamps with the Samco. I blew the Samco TBB off of an intercooler pipe

using the stock clamps, just as I went in front of a semi. The engine stopped running. A very bad feeling. You need different clamps.

Default did you pressure test the car after puting the samco ? good thing you used the stock clamp(tb-tbb)

i used the ones that came with the samco and they were leaking @ high boost ..
well i'm back to stock tbb now with stock clamps, 710n-s.. much happier

the stock clamps that hold the 2 pressure pipes are too small (limited adjustability)

Default Industrial zip ties, no leaks, no clamps needed IMHO. <Flamming>?

Easy to cut and put new ones on when needed.

Default how are the samco clamps? can they be tightened good? I would buy some stainless clamps but i need a

very thin SS clamp and i cant seem to find them....

I could see zip ties working.....
