I go see my lawyer-he has a clk 55 amg out front, I wasn't sure so I ask him
if it has a supercharger in it-he says yes, about 400 and something hp. I research and find it has no supercharger and 362hp and 376 torque. Wait till I cross examine the goober. He charges $250 /hr -so it's no wonder. Anyone think a stage 2 can take it? Supposedly 13.1s-1/4.

Pretty quick car. Lots of tq. Feels like an auto vette. They trap ~108.
I put a couple car lengths on one 40-100 or so (it was a cold evening and my car is a BEAST when temps <40).

Yeah, we have a CLK55 and they are real fast...
but I've never dragged it or put it up against my S4, so I can't really say how they compare, except that I'm fairly certain that my Stage II+ S4 is faster and with the tracksports also an incomparably better handling car, too. I want my wife to sell the CLK55 and buy a Porsche, but so far no luck.

Dad's got one. I'd say pretty darn comparable to a Stage II S4...
...it all depends on what speed you're racing, how hot it is, etc. for that kind of comparison IMO. If you do a roll on, start at about 65-70mph in 3rd gear IMO. Then you're just under 5000rpm in 3rd and can get to your max horsepower quickly to pull away. He'll be too tall for 2nd and will need to lower in the powerband in 3rd where he's geared a little taller than an S4's 3rd gear is.

Re: Depends What year it is-the new ones with no b-pillar have 493 hp and a blower, older ones, 349/
Also, it will say v8 Kompressor if its blown. I think 2001 or 2002 they stopped making the 349hp/376 torque ones and moved to the b-pillarless 493hp ones.
