Default I have a Compustar 2WSS-AS Alarm (Turbo timer/Remote Starter) - But I'll probably sell it...(more)

I have a used Compustar 2WSS-AS Alarm system, I heard it's the best Compustar alarm you can buy. Has a built in turbo timer and remote starter and it's supposed to work great. It has something like a 1.5 mile distance and has that cool LCD keychain.

I really don't think i'm going to have it installed because i'm looking into buying something else for the S4. Does anybody know if it's complicated to install yourself? If it is...i'm just going to sell it instead because I have no use for it.

Default Actually, the S4 is one of the easiest cars to wire a remote starter to, mainly...

due to the fact that everything you need is in the driver's kick panel. If you need help finding wires, or tips on the install, let me know, and I will be more than happy to assist you.

You will need some diodes to run the parking lights, as well as for the door pin switches, in order to keep the driver and passenger doors isolated.

When done properly, you can use the aftermarket alarm and remote starter to control your factory alarm. You cannot, however, control the aftermarket alarm using your Audi remote/key (there probably is a way to do it, but way too complicated and not worth the effort).
