I have my car!!
My goodness, 4 months woulda been this Friday.
Hats off to the techs and staff over at GRD in Naperville, IL. They have been nothing but supportive throughout this whole ordeal. They definitely earned repeat business from me! (as a matter of fact they asked for it
)
My last issue (CEL due to torque converter sticking open) was a result of dirty valve bodies. After the car was driven for a week, the CEL disappeared and has not surfaced again. Regardless, the pressure control valve is on standby JIC.
I really have not had a chance to drive drive it but all the slop is gone. The trans feels much more robust. Only surprise was the 2-1 downshift...that you CANNOT miss. Will take some getting used to but it feels like a healthy shift and L10 assured me and GRD it was normal.
Sam at L10 was very helpful and polite to me personally(even though GRD said he constantly gave them the cold shoulder) but obviously, a customer not having their car for 4 months is unacceptable. I would have trouble recommending L10 to someone again but I would not flat-out say "No".
