Default i have a proble with my tranny and need to find out what it is.................

when the car is cold, meaning after not driving it for more than like 6 hours, when i jump in the ride and try to go ahead and put it in gear, it actually takes a while before i can put it in gear, any of them. now after driving it for a while, i would say a mile or two, it starts to be more smooth, after that no problem everything just fine, maybe a little hard but i beat the living crap out of my tranny.
now i thought it could be the master cylinder but im not sure and wanted to see if this has ever happend to someone in here.

TIA.

Gus

Default BTDT...

...master and slave cylinder on the clutch was shot (as was the line between), but I also had a problem with coolant leaking through the bellhousing onto the flywheel and contaminating it -- that was very hard to diagnose and get fixed and there were many attempts and frustration.

Default It will probably just get worse...

...I got where I would leave my car in 2nd gear pointing the direction I needed to be headed if I was going to park it for a while (i.e., back in when I parked, or if I had to pull in head first, made sure the way out of the parking spot was not uphill at all). That way I could still be mobile while either pressure built in the system or heat burned off some of the coolant contamination on the flywheel.

Default It leaks. There are holes and access points along the top of the bell housing.
