the door has to be shut hard and pops open when you open the door...also the locking mechanism is having problems when i open the door when its locked the lock won't go up and the way and gets hung up or jammed because of the pressure...Has anyone had there door seal replaced and experienced this problem...the guy at the body shop said i have to break it in...also the two doors seem to line up differently with the interior now....give me your thoughts please!

Did they take the door off? Aligning a door can be a bear, but not too bad.

Default the material is new and stiff ..you can adjust the latch a bit (on the b pillar)

or used it as is untill the seal breaks in a bit.

Default I would get a heat gun or hair drier, and give it some love. Then put some silicone on it...

Spray some silicone onto a rag, and then wipe it on the seal.

The heat will make it a bit more compliant. The Silicone will help to squish on the door a bit more. It'll also take care of any squeaks you might get.

Default They told me they didn't take the door off although they did have to do some paint work on it....

it seems as though they did take it off because when you are sitting inside and the door is closed the dash and the door don't line up very well especially on the top part....the door sits lower now than the other side.

Is it normal that the door won't unlock on the first pull of the handle from inside? (when locked)

2nd. When locked, the fronts take 2 pulls of the handle to open.
