Default I just installed a new Coolant Temp Sensor and now my temp gauge isn't working...Anyone ever (more)

have a new sensor be bad straight from the factory?

I checked the harness and it seems to be connected, but I'll double check it in the light tomorrow to make sure I didn't bend the pins or something.

How bad is it to drive around with a dead temp sensor in the mean time?

Default All of teh time. Seems like the new green ones aren't that good either. You car will just run rich

and your gas mileage will not be that good.

Extreme worst case is that you foul your plugs and your car won't start, but that would be a rare case.

Default Just tried swiping out a couple differant new temp sensors. Still nothing registering on the (more)

gauge. Is my wiring FUBAR'd?

My next step is cleaning up the old one and putting it back in to see what it does.
