I just put my stoptechs on...
and as everyone knows the wheel weights had to be taken off my stock rims. I was going to get them re-balanced, but I have no vibrations or anything. Is there any reason i should have them re-balanced then?

yes

what do you think of the stoptechs for street use?
|
everyone says there not needed and there over kill, i think the complete opposite, there about
10x better the my stock brakes....

I'm curious what you find 10x better about them for street driving.
|
imo the car stops faster and smother, i'm only stage 2 right now and i did not
feel confident if i went wot and had to step on the brake fast. With the stock brakes it felt like the car kept going. With the stoptechs i feel like i can send myself through the windshield. some people say that the stock brakes will stop you in a shorter distance then a bbk if you only do one stop. I really don't see this to be true.

If you weren't able to get your car into ABS with the stock brakes (m)
that seems odd to me. Maybe something was up with your stock brakes. I did a drivers event with stockers, doing the run up to 50-60 mph and laying on the brakes about 10 times, and I didn't experience any fade. The pads had a minute or so between runs, but that was more severe than I'd experience on the road.
Given the number of people who've found the stock brakes to be sufficient for street driving (including myself) I'd be inclined to think something was wrong with your brakes or the pads. |
nothing is wrong with my ABS, i never said that, i was able to acivate the ABS with my stock brakes
