I left interior lights on two days ago and battery is still not charged past around 8 or 9 volts....

Default I left interior lights on two days ago and battery is still not charged past around 8 or 9 volts....
So starting is struggled a bit ... Is the alternator not working ya think or will it eventually get back up to 12?... I remember it being 12 when just the accessory power is turned on

How old is the battery? Could have a damaged cell.

Be careful, charging an extremely dead battery by running the car can kill the alternator

Default Hook it up to a battery charger and see if it will accept a charge.
If not, it might be time to replace the battery.

Default I'm gonna go get a DieHard International installed at Sears later...
Jeez, one single time leaving lights on and this is what happens.. I left all the interior lights on for 8 hours .. I'm glad the damn thing started .. I guess the only other option would be breaking the window.
