Default I LOGGED THE "S" AND NOW I NEED HELP.......

Alrite guys, I need help figuring out what I have logged and how it will help me.

I logged block 003, 114, 115 yesterday at about 5 pm with 67F and cloudy. I can't figure it out; I think I'm over boost some how. I have a 2000 S4 "A" box STOCK.

Can some one look at it and let me know what they think. I have made some charts but nothing too impressive so if you make one can you please post it?

Also for future reference what bocks do you guys usually measure for boost and performance check?

Sorry for the "Noo-B" question. Tried searching for some info but couldn't find much.

TIA
Edy

Default Where to start???

1. STFA, there are several good posts on how to log and post the results.
2. It is hard to figure out issues with boost/MAF when you aren't WOT for more than 4 seconds.
3. Only log one block at a time, it will give you better resolution.
4. Unless you think you have a boost leak, try 3rd gear pulls from 3K to redline. WARNING/DISCLAIMER: only perform on a close track as this will involve breaking the speed limit.
5. Subtract 1000 from all the boost values to account for atmospheric preasure (1000 mbar).

I graph boost vs rpm for my pulls. This will show how quickly boost builds and if it matches spec. MAF vs rpm is also useful. If I suspect a bad BPV, I will plot boost vs time while I lift from WOT.

Aside from that, with the very limited data in the links....the MAF looked OK, but it is hard to tell for sure since you never went to redline. But I don't think ~215g/s at 6K is too bad for stock.
If I had to guess, the bpv are OK as well. There was not a "spike" in the actual boost during shifts.

Default Dude, your car is ***'d up man...read on for more info....

nah just playing looks okay to me. Maf looks okay to me but what concerns me a little is when you are at idle...actual and request is usually even (at 1000 or 1010) but that might not make a big deal...boost ooks normal under load. Any other opinions?

It is more accurate to subtract the "boost" at idle instead of just subtracting 1000 mbar.

Default Do not subtract by 1000mbar - sub the actual Atmos Press on the run

Looks like you are below sea-level or it was a really natsy weather day : 960~980 mbar

Boost curves look ok but it's hard to tell from the short runs.
