Default why the timer?

The timer certainly can't hurt.. but I don't see the need. I got over 200k on my original saab T3 turbo (that doesn't have water cooling) running 18 psi vs. 12 stock for several years. I did use mobil 1 at 3-4k change intervals.

Even if the after-run coolant pump doesn't turn on, any extra heat will boil out thru the coolant.

Default Did you wrap it first?

If you get a role of black sport tape...like used on the grip of a hockey stick..it's really sticky, and wrap the TT before you slide it, it will center the unit in the cup older. And you have an eigth inch top and bottom instead of a quarter just on top!
