I was in my Camaro, ET bracket racing on friday night and got paired against the Ultima with a 2 second head start.

Although the Ultima was not set up for drag racing, that thing was fast. His fastest time that night was 10.20 at 155 mph (he's obviously not geared for the 1/4 mile).

I spoke with the driver afterwards, he makes headers for NASCAR and had custom built the motor for this Ultima. It was 335ci small block chevy with twin turbos (900+hp). He said 220 mph was no problem down in Vegas. He also said that this particular Ultima was one of four used as a development mule for McLaren that have been imported to the US (the other ones are owned by K&N).

Friday night, he was having traction problems all the way down the track. But it was fun to watch him blow by me at 150+ mph through the traps and then come to a complete stop before the first return road with no chute... He red-lit so I got the win light!
