Default I STFA in regards to a CEL that turns off after a while

and the conensus is that a soft CEL will turn itself off after a certain amount of starts when the problem that triggered the CEL is no longer present.

These are the codes I pulled when the CEL first came on:
17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S1: Internal Resistance too High
P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17530 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating: B2 S2: Open Circuit
P1122 - 35-00 - -
17548 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B2 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1140 - 35-00 - -

CEL fired up last Friday and was gone Sunday when I left for work. The thing is, Ive been seeing intermittent codes for the B1 S1 and B2 S2 O2s for about 4-5 months now and everytime I bring my car in for something else and ask them to look at the 02s they tell me "everything is to spec". So do these babies look like they are on their way out? or just normal S4 behavior? Car runs fine...

Thanks!

Default Are you under warranty?

I wouldn't clear the codes if you are under warranty. Go into the dealer when you have the codes and see what they say then.

The 2nd sensors on bank 1 and bank 2 aren't hard to replace, but the 1st set of sensors are a PITA.

Ultimately, your sensors are probably on their way out....many here have had to replace their's--including myself.

If you're not under warranty, search the archives for the VW 02 sensor--it's a cheaper alternative to the Audi part (same part, different "brand name")

Hope this helps...

Default If I'm not mistaken, the CEL will reset itself (if it doesn't repeat after 40 ignition cycles).

it will maintain the DTC in the log, but will reset the code itself.

Default hah, everything to spec, BS.

Open circuit, internal resistance too high?

Get them replaced.
