Default I think I might nominate myself for darwin award

I was pulling a transmission today and, as usual, used a coat hanger to support the brake caliper. I looped the top of the hanger through a hole in the body but it wasn't moving..

I grabbed a pair of pliers and pulled down on the hanger. As I started thinking about what would happen if it slipped off.. it did. I was pulling downward pretty hard when it slipped and the piece of hanger sticking straight up from the caliper stabbed straight through my hand!

Yea, I did the proper thing and got the car back together and running.

Note to self: If you use coat hangers please bend the sharp ends over.
This $h!t is starting to hurt!

Default didn't need to.. I had some permatex gasket sealant handy

Yea right.. it didn't bleed much and didn't hurt until I was on the way home.

Default should have left the coat hanger in when taking the picture (jk).........

hope you cleaned it well and watch for infection! at the first sign of infection, go to the doctor.
better yet go see the dr. and get a Rx for an antibiotic.
glad you're ok and finished the job.

That will get infected, no doubt. Take precautions now.
