Default I thought I had seen it all!

I had a really weird day!

Anyways.. I was with my fiance having a latte at a nearby starbucks and my car was parked conveniently across the street (in our direct view) parallel parked in front of the neighboring grocery store (QFC). I see this guy walk in and on his way into the grocery store, check my car out really good (ie. walk around it and stare). A few minutes later I see him walking out of the grocery store with a throw away camera (which I think he just bought!!)standing in the middle of the road and walking all around my car taking pictures!! After a while I finally went out and said hi, the guy seemed really nice. I shoulda just given him the link to my pics on s4.org, oh well...

Anyways, it seemed like everywhere we went today I had people giving me thumbs up, staring, asking questions. One kid came up to me a few hours later at a different store and ask me if I would POP THE HOOD!?

man, so much for owning a sleeper! (albeit, laser red isn't much of a sleeper)

Default I know what you mean, Nogaro has inspired it share of people....

An older gent that works as a security guard at my local supermarked said he was going to paint his classic T-bird that he was working on NOGARO! He said he has never seen such a bitchin' blue as this. He asked for the color code and everything. I wonder if he went through with it....

Default While that's certainly a weird day, you haven't seen "it all" until you have

a night like this! Follow my link to the A4 board to read about the adventure I just had.

Where in Seatown were you, btw? I'm moving back there in a week. Already signed up for the Seattle Audi club, but I need to get in touch with someone regarding the track day at SIR you guys have coming up.

Oh, and I think I saw your car a few weeks back when I was up there visiting. I was near University Audi going West over 50th in a black P-car, and you were going East, I think. I waved but I don't think you saw me. Look forward to meeting you this summer.

Default A kid at the gas station was asking all sorts of questions about my car...

kid: that's a nice car! is that the M4?

me: haha, no it's the S4, M is usually associated with BMW

kid: oh sorry, i knew it was an A4 of some sort the badge looks kinda similar to the M3 badges... so is it fast?

me: yeah, it's pretty quick, it's 4wd and turbocharged, lotsa fun

kid: can u pop the hood?
/me pops hood
kid: where are the turbos?

me: underneath the car, ya can't see em.

/kid tries to crawl underneath car

me: uhhh....

Default Hehe, nice. :) I had an interesting experience on somebody's prom night downtown last week...

Pulled up to a big white stretched Suburban, and I see someone sticking their **** (covered in a prom gown, thankfully) out the window, as I pull up. Um, whatever I think. As I pull in line w/ their window, I get another eyeful of the ****. There weren't any other people outside in view to appreciate her gesture, so it was aimed at me. I give her and her boyfriend a little "I'm not impressed, thanks" look. They then both start jawing at me, what looks to be a slew of expletives. My window is closed, and they look a bit perturbed, and I'm a little annoyed at their immaturity. So I unroll the window,

Me: "You got a problem?"
Him and her: "No, that's a nice car. What is it a Lexus?"
Me (laughing at the turn of events and what I'll take as a compliment): "No, it's an Audi."
Him: "Oh, it's cool."
Me: "Thanks."

And I'm not sure what was stranger, but I got a little more amusement earlier in the day when I pulled up to a stoplight, and this 20ish guy gets all excited looking at my car/wheels and raises his hands in the air and bobs them twice (ala rap video style). I mouth "thanks" and laugh my way down the block. Classic. What I wouldn't give for a video of that.

Default Much appreciated. I signed up for the list (at least, I *think* I did)

a few weeks back, but haven't heard anything yet. I'll try emailing JoshD again. Look forward to meeting you, too.
