I totally missed this post below..
So.. A guy at work (looks like a girl. has a ponytail and is mistaken for a woman in pics) drives a Yellow C5. He now has done a few mods to it. Exhaust and some other stuff I forget.
It is an auto and I have been telling him that I could take him at the drag strip any day. His auto to my Tip. Seems fair right? This was last year before he started modding. He has been talking _tons_ of smack since last summer. He even bailed on us one night we went to the strip to run.
Well leaving work y-day I was stopping by HD and went a different way home. Well we happen to pull up next to each other at a light. There was traffic in front of us so it's not like we could have raced off. But he would not look over at me for the 1/2 mile I was next to him. I couldn't believe it. I was willing to do a run on the backroads in 105 degree heat even. Just to mess with him. And I had my rack on top.
Well my lane ended and I got ahead of him because of the way merging went. He then went left at the next light instead of following me.
I called a friend up (guy in yeller vette is his manager) and told him what happened. So he called him and the guy told him he didn't know what he was talking about and then said his cell had a bad conection, then hung up on him.
He has not responded to any emails all day today in regards to the incident.

Stock to stock would have been fun. That's all I wanted a year ago.
I would have taken him on the launch. I'll admit he will beat me now. My tranny sucks too much to actually handle a hard launch.

no but I think he can crack a 2.0 which is right there with a tip
the fastest tip slip I know of is on s4biturbo...1.96 60'
maybe I'm mistaken...
either way this guy is pretty funny for being afraid to race you, make it for money and then back out...screw with him a little.
