Default Paging iconoclast.....You are running porsche calipers correct?

Does the 993 or 996 mount up correct?

i know the cayenne lines right up.

Thanks in advance

Default ideally youd like to get the pre made kit from ecs...

because piecing it together is going to be a nightmare... seriously... sure youll save money, but youll gain an ulcer. (also many ppl rebuild calipers and sell them on ebay... make sure therye not rebuilds, or repainted... if so you may have issues or unhappy with the quality of the paint. typically they just get caliper paint repaint them and just put porsche decal on them. corny.)

depending on which wheels you have the 996 will line up fine... however youll need to get the bigger rotors with the s4 hats... if you use stock rotors, they will heat up greatly, and be worse than stock... they a slightly shorter and thinner. (i dont have the exact numbers at the moment i havent even had coffee yet this morning)

ideally youd want to find a set of 993's, but youll have to contact the guys over at bira. and theyre not going to make a one off for you. youll need to partner up with 4 other guys for them to fabricate a bracket.

lastly while youre there replace the lines and fluid... so long story short as much as i hate to waste money, it may be best in this case to just buy the "kit" only because youll save yourself the aggrevation...

imo. porsche.brembo.movit.stoptech. in that order.

some ppl claim that the calipers werent designed for our car and theres a rear bias and blah blah blah... but they stop just fine, and feel a great deal better... im not sure on the "truth" of the matter. in regards to the over all efficiency of the calipers on this application however i can say you will not be dissapointed.

in the end youll want to do the rears as well. because itll look weird with massive fronts and petite rears... youll see.

hit me up if you have any other questions...

Default watching the market.

drinking some java...

"i keep it real"

Part # for 996 / Boxster S:

996 351 425
996 351 426

i do not have 993 offhand however if you do a search in the archs youll find a few hits on it.

you may want to look into cayenne 6piston setup... 352x32 rotor size i believe.

but get ready for a headache if you go the route of piecing together the kit yourself...

remember youll need:

Calipers.
Lines.
Fluid.
Brackets to mount calipers.
Hardware.
Pads.

and then paint to match the rears. G2 works well, but you have to work quickly. (and for best results take the caliper off the car.)

Default 1695-2000.

piecing it together most likely around 1000-1200. however itll be a headache...

used sets go for 500-1200 dollars depending on condition and whats included etc.

contact la porsche dismantler... you can get calipers from them really cheap. 300 area for 993 400-500 area for 996/boxster S... just make sure you request original ones nothing rebuilt, or painted...

thats where to start... where to go after, is going to be all on you... lol. good luck!<ul><li><a href="http://www.911pcar.com/Porsche_Parts/porsche_parts.htm">http://www.911pcar.com/Porsche_Parts/porsche_parts.htm</a</li></ul>
