if i buy an s4 out of state do i still pay taxes on the car?

yeah....I have to pay tax when I get mine registered....

I bought my car in NH (no state taxes) and thought I'd put one over on Uncle Sam...

Nice try - I still had to pay sales tax on mine when I registered it in Washington.
 

I didn't have to pay the tax to the Audi dealer when I bought it in Beaverton, but I do have to pony up when I go to register the car in Washington - based on the sales price after tradein (i.e. the difference between the tradein value of old car and the one I bought).

Must be paid as a lump sum before the car can be registered.
