Illuminated Shift **** -->

Anyone ever attempt to build there own Illuminated Shift ****? Seems like it wouldn't be too much work....if you could remove the top of the shifter and scrape away the silver behind the shift pattern and install a few LED's. Is it possible? Just curious

if you're talking about the stock shift **** Im pretty sure it wont work the way you described it.

It should be pretty easy. You're on the right track, just have to make it look good

for reference the e36 m3 lighted **** had a very small single red led. Possibly scrape away the s4 lettering and place a small piece of plexi in between and then cover the base with reflective tape.
