take your time and don't force or over tighten any of the bolts

Default I'll be doing mine in about an hour but have done the install before...

like arrestmereds4 said...don't overtighten the bolts...especially the 2 hex bolts in the middle.

Where should I place the jack to support the tranny properly?

Default Just finished mine, very easy install... Huge improvment too

The only problem I ran into was that my friend didn't have any allen wrenchs :-/ Who owns a german car (he has an M3) and doesn't have metric allen wrenchs, haha. Anyway, it was very easy. I suppored the tranny with a jack right behind the mounting point for the DTS, between the cats.

Default here's some pics

I ran a tap into the tranny holes to clean the threads before install. That's not required unless the bolt gets really tough to turn.

The only tip I have is to get all bolts started before torquing anything. Tighten the two big subframe bolts then let the jack down BEFORE trying to tighten the mount bolts

Default I just finished, too. Had the same problem and had to run out to Sears for a 3/8 allen key.

Everything else was pretty smooth. I agree, big difference; definitely worth it. Only problem is that I hear a little but of clunking coming from the driver's side if I do a jerky downshift. Might have to take a look tomorrow and see.

2nd. Tap holes or use PB as a cutting agent. Start all bolts first!

Default Sell it while it's still new. I just removed mine after having it on a year. (m)

I could not tell any difference after taking it off. Maybe it's just that my car never had all the slop people refer to, but I could not distinguish any difference without it on. I think it is a waste of money and with the long term affect of dedistributing stresses unknown, I didn't find it worth keeping.
