I'm interested in getting a lightweight replacement battery...
Like the Hawker (Enersys) Genesis (0769-2003 G16EPX), but I'm curious how to mount it. Are there battery mounts with the footprint of the stock battery? Anyone else run this battery? How'd you secure it?
And yes, I STFA...
Thanks!

Did this for my Optima. You could probably do something similar.

As long as you size it correctly, one way should be fine.
My battery won't move even if I try pulling on it as hard as I can. Actually, I wouldn't do it the way I did it if the carrying handle wasn't there. If there was no handle, there's a possibility that if the battery slides towards the back of the firewall, the strap I made could contact the two terminals and short the battery. Actually, the same could happen if you did it the other way and the positive terminal touched the strap because it is bolted to the chassis which is connected to ground. Just make sure you get it tight or don't use a metal strap.
