Default Immediate help requested!

I'm working on the short shifter install, and finding that getting in the lower 10mm hex bolt (the one that controls reverse) is a major ordeal. Time and time again, I tried, yet the bolt kept eventually falling into the catch tray underneath. Well, now I've finally screwed up big by dropping it below the catch plate entirely. It seems nearly impossible to get out. I think I'd rather just buy a replacement bolt. Can anybody tell me the exact dimensions?

Thanks in advance.

Default It's way back in there...

I don't have a magnet long enough, and I think it's gotten pushed even farther back.

Default Is it the same size bolt as the other 10mm hex?

I could just try taking that to the parts store. I don't think they are the same length, but I can approximate.

I think you dropped it just above the exhaust. Try looking from underneath the car.

Default Just did tanoga install tonite.....

I think I retried every nut or bolt in the install out of my center console with a magnet stick (get one at an auto parts store) at some point during the install.

PS: I LOVE THIS SHIFTER

Default Finished installation!

I got another bolt at Home Depot, then waited till morning. The next day, it was a piece of cake to get in the bolt. Made some adjustments and love the new shifter! Just thought I'd share. :-D
