Important question about rider height vs. headroom (my head hits my ceiling!) Please help! (x-post)
I don't know if anyone has tried doing anything about it, but my head hits the ceiling in my A4. I'm 6'3", probably close to 6'5" with my hair (bedhead) and my hair totally hits the ceiling when I sit up straight. I have the Sport bucket seats that came with the Sport Package on my car. I have adjusted the seat as low as it can go and made the rest of it completely comfortable, but my head touches the ceiling in the car unless I slouch quite a bit or lean the seat back so I'm practically laying down, both uncomfortable.
Has anyone done anything about this? Is there anything that can be done? Would putting in an S4 seat help at all? I figure that an aftermarket seat might work, but I don't want to go straight to the expensive stuff without looking at all of my options. PLEASE HELP!
I know my A4 2.8 has similar seats to the S4, which is why I'm asking for help here too! Thanks.

S4 seats would make it worse!
The S4 seats sit a little taller than do the seats from the A4, thanks to all that sporty padding.
Ranger Bob, who's 6'7", had a Recaro SE seat installed in his A4. I'll forward him the URL to this thread so he can chime in.

S4 seat has less headroom than an A4 seat...
...I'm 6'5" and if my head only touched the ceiling I'd be quite happy...like I was in my A4. I've removed an inch of padding from my seat bottom and it helped, but I still can't sit in my seat with my butt against the seatback unless I tilt my head a little to the right to fit in the sunroof opening. Another 1/2" of room and I'd be fine.
