Default Improving Ride and Brake pedal position

I have 5000 miles on my new S4 and it is so good it is like it is from another planet. I pt 500 miles per week on connecticut's merritt pky and I95 and have yet to get hit by the state police, so I am either driving too slow or am just lucky. Anyway to the the point. Autoweek and C & D were correct; the ride is too soft and the steering is a bit numb, especially compared to Porsche and BMW. I spoke to the nice German people at CESin California as highlighted in this month's R&T and they said there is spring kit available the stiffen the ride but NOT to mess with the OE Bilsteins. I would also like to lower the height of the brake pedal for comfort and heel & toe. Any ideas on the above? As you all know the REO40 tire are death in the snow, and I have orderedPirrelli winter tires already. In the spring I will put on S02's for better wet behavior than the REO40's.
