Inconsistent boost pressure
So I just finished installing my boost gauge last night, and obviously, I was observing boost the entire way home. I happened to notice that my boost was only running about 5-6psi max, at nearly every WOT condition. I got home, and ate dinner, and took it out again, and boost was low at first, still about 5-6psi, so, i decided it would be best to lay off boost for a while. Of course, that did not last long, and I was on the throttle again, but this time boost was back at normal levels, peaking at about 10psi.
I have been getting that lame BOV-like whooshing noise whenever I cut the throttle under boost to change gears. this is a sign of bad DV's, right? Or could I have screwed up something (like the fpr line) when I went to install my boost gauge... -kevin |
Can you check boost gauge with VAG?

Re: Inconsistent boost pressure
have you checked your throttle body hose? look for any tears around the clamp.
