Hoping maybe someone can help me out.. 01 b5 s4 tip....got gas the other night..drove about 25 miles and it started missing...instantly thought bad gas. Its like a chugging miss...no power if you're on the throttle at all. Made it home..scanned it... tells me fuel injector cyl 2 short to ground intermittent. I've seen guys that have all the injectors pop up and its the relay under the dash but this is just #2...
I pulled the injector and tested it...even switched with #1 and put it back together...still misses #2. Switched coils, put a new plug in it... same..still misses and same code. I then started thinking blown head gasket...but.. there's no bubbling in the overflow tank...doesn't overheat...doesn't smoke white...and if you look down into the cylinder, i think it would be shiny and clean(steam cleaned from the water)but its not....everything is normal. The last thing I did this morning was put my factory ecu back in....no difference.

So here's the thing i noticed that baffles me... It misses and throws the code and has no power in Drive... If you put it in reverse...it has all kinds of power. It'll even build a little boost if you hold the brake...in reverse. As soon as you try drive or any other forward gear, it throws the injector 2 short to ground code and misses hard....falls right on its face.

If anyone has any ideas, please throw them my way....i'd definitely appreciate it..
