Installing G2 tonight. How does stock exhaust come off? Any cutting involved?

some tips...
1. start with some liquid wrench or WD-40 to loosen the bolts where the exhaust joins the cat portions near the midpoint of the car. the secure the brackets. i sprayed on ample amounts of WD-40 and let soak for about 1 hour.
2. start by loosening and removing those bracket bolts. If you can't get them off without breaking them don't go any further - take it to a shop. or have a backup set of clamps with the bolts.
3. you can struggle all you want in trying to get the hangers off of the rubber mounts. i just removed the brackets that held the rubber mounts - much easier. for re-install of the G2, i first put the rubber mounts back on the hangers, positioned under the car and then secured the brackets.
4. last thing when removing is to have some sort of brace underneath the rear-most muffler. the stock exhaust is quite heavy, so support it as everything is loosened to remove. i used a stationary floor jack.
5. installing start with the forward section of the G2 and re-attach to the cat pipes with the brackets. one trick to avoid problems is to make sure you bias the center section to the driver side of the car. pull to the drivers side as you tighten the brackets. this should keep the bend before the 1st G2 muffler away from a tight section of the muffler channel. if the bend is to close to the channel sides, you will get knocking once the exhaust heats up (10 minutes of driving) and starts to move around.
6. replace the rubber mounts onto the hangers of the rear portion and reinstall. there's tricks to reinstall of the rear section to make sure the tips protrude straight. just take it slow and tighten everything up gradually. you can bias the tips location in the manner in which you reinstall the rubber mounts. they have oversized holes and can be moved off center if necessary.
7. don't be overly oncerned if the tips aren't dead center. mine were'nt but after a week of driving and "settling" the moved to center. do a search on AW if it's a problem for much longer - people have fixed any tip bias with additional brackets and clamps.
