Default Instant sound system upgrade at no cost.

I've tried the settings which make sense on paper, but finally my ears tell me this setting in the 'hidden Graphic Equalizer' is the way to get the best out of your Symphony:
26599349
Fader a little to the rear can help too.

For the unfamiliar; to get into your hidden Graphic Equalizer just press 5 and power at the same time (I can't spell simultaneously).

Default Welcome to two years ago ;-)

A bigger benefit for flatter sound response is to shut off the Bose, on Bose-equipped cars.

I'll check the tech notes to see how to do this since I have no clue on how to program that.

Default Hang-on you word-skippers

You missed the bit about the actual settings being the important part, not the discovery of the hidden EQ.

Default No I didn't...

Whats "best" is very subjective. Unless you've played a pink-noise disc through there and used done an RTA on the sound response, your "best" isn't the same as my "best".

And my point was that if you de-bosed, and did a real analysis of the frequency responses in the car, you'd find you'd be able to get it much flatter.

Default Hang on George,

A flat frequency response is of little use if our ears don't pick-up the sound in a flat frequency response (any ear specialist will tell you our ears do no such thing). It's all about what sound your ears prefer to hear.

But a flat frequency response means you are hearing it the way it was intended to be heard.
