Intercooler BT: best option for SMICs?
 

Seems like the options are:

RS4
AWE
Silva/IPP
APR

Am I missing any? Anything super secret coming out no one's told me about?

What about getting a custom core made? I'm thinking something similar to RS4s' width, deeper, with a Tube and Plate core?

the custom ones you want are exactly what the silvas are.
 

i believe the silvas are being sold with no profit to the designer.

I've had my eye on Silvas. They did seem like the best bet out there.
 

I heard some talk of various FMICs in design stages due out soon, so I wasn't sure if my post would flesh out some SMIC designs that aren't on the market soon.

go proven...AWE or RS4 IC's
 

ASP and other FMIC won't be out for a few months

I'm happy with my RS4s but if I were in the market now, Silvas would definitely have my eye.

Dave, do you think you'd get a large gain from switching from RS4s to Silvas?

proven? I think the silva dyno numbers have been impressive as well
 

What do they have to do to be "proven" in your eyes? Just not compete with AWE?

No, I doubt I'd get any gains. But Silvas are cheaper and easier to install.

Yep. I was hoping the "future releases" FMIC hubbub might cause some SMIC rumors to fly. :)
