Intercooler BT: best option for SMICs?
#54
yeah head buried, along with the rest of the people who can see the exact same thing i am
saying, i guess they have their heads buried too? but hey keep telling yourself and others that you arent and just remember they will be laughing at you not with you about coming to terms with your denial. you can say what you will about where peoples heads are but there is no denying you have your head in the clouds about ASP stuff (which i am not sayin is bad stuff, just not as good as you make it out to be) and further that you have a very large vendetta against AWE with seemingly little up-to-date knowledge about their stuff. You might as well go on and compare the old APR stuff to the new APR stuff while you are at it.

IPP... The before and after dyno runs do not lie.
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/26266/all_runs.jpg"></center><p>I agree though that more data would be good to have.
I really can't see the OEM (even a new one without bent fins and other crap inside them) performing anywhere near the RS4/IPP/AWE setups.
For me the $$$ I spent on the IC's was one of the best investments I have made to the performance of the car since my piggie pipes.
Besides the dyno numbers, I am now peaking at 19 pounds and holding at 17 pounds compared to 17 and 14 pre intercooler install. The car performed quite well at the track with no loss of power throughout the entire day.
IMO, bang for the buck, these really are the best choice for the 2.7TT

Bang for the Buck. Key words here. Sure, piggie pipes don't give you as much power as ASP/AWE's...
But the cost is much less.
Maybe the Silvia's don't give as much as the RS4's / AWE's, but they sure are cheaper and easier to install!
I'm all about that.
Piggies: I'll give up 5/10 HP for $1,000.
Silvas: I'll give up ??? for $400 over AWE's.
Silvas: I'll give up ??? for considerable cutting and $200 with RS4's.
And I'm not convinced the Silvas ARE giving up anything. There simply isn't enough testing to say either way yet.
