my favorite maneuver is the asshat that dives over to the left lane
from an on ramp only to do 65-70 mph in the left lane. meanwhile, i'm cautiously merging and looking to make my way over to the left lane only to catch a g/d catnap waiting for said asshat to move the fug over. arrrggghhh!

it's going to be hard to catch these left lane huggers, unless cops use unmarked patrol cars
as soon as somebody is seeing a police car in their rear view mirror, first reaction usually is to move immediately to the right lane. Cop has to catch them at fault.

Illinois has that law. It doesn't help. I think it is for catching DUI's. I doubt...
that a ticket would hold up in court if the person in the left lane is doing 55 in a 55. The people passing them on the right are "breaking the law" by speeding. Why is the legal driver penalized?
But if a suspected DUI is doing 55 in 55 and people pass them on the right, then the cop has a legal reason to pull them over.
Law has been on the books since Jan 2005. I have not seen any improvement.
