I've been asked about the VW 4-matic. What's the story with that?

Negative...it's 4-motion...4-matic is Mercedes' AWD system
4-motion is basically VW name brand for their AWD which is the same as the A4/S4 quattro system on the longitudinal engines, and the same as the TT quattro system on the transverse engines.

yes I do
whats not yet done is wheels, brakes, RS4 seats front and rear (they are out of my last S4) and the sound system (which is currently in process when I get time). Eventually carbon fiber hood and trunk will be put on too but thats way down the road.

I believe 4-motion is the "quattro" of the TT which is different than
that of the A4/S4, A6, A8 etc. One uses Haldex differential, other doesn't-or something along those lines.
