Default I've tried this before.........

but lets hope it goes better this time. Going down to sign lease on new S4, will be chipping it. I have been with this forum since its inception in 1997, have been through the archives several times. Not looking for hard data but instead seat of the pants impression from those who have experience. I am looking for a chip that improves low rpm torque and throttle response rather than just peak power. My dealer will install MTM, but also considering APR, GIAC, and autothority. Would welcome any and all opinions from those of you who are actually chipped. Need to make quick decision as my dealer can install MTM before I take delivery. Thanks in advance

Default If your Audi dealer will put an MTM in your car before delivery... THAT'S THE WAY TO GO IMHO!!!

Why increase your warranty risk with another brand of chip installed by a non-Audi dealer?

I think AoA and that dealer would have an EXTREMELY tough time legally voiding your warranty in the future based on parts installed by them before vehicle delivery... especially if you get the parts and install in writing.

Wish all Audi dealers were like yours!!!

Default Go with the MTM.....

Pulls like a freight train, and apparantly uses an optimized stock boost curve so its safe in the high rpms(relatively speaking). I love mine! Have driven APR, Autothority and MTM (seems) faster/smoother to me. Just my .02

Default Take a look at ABT 551M also....

I had the MTM GenII 551M ECU in my 2001 S4...I liked it but never thought the power was as smooth as stock...thought it was sort of on/off on the throttle. Did a Throttle ADP via VAG tool and helped alot..but wanted to try to see how it compared to the new ABT 551M. I have to say the ABT chip was pretty damn smooth and pulled very hard..but was also a safe chip and that it dropped the boost at higher RPM past 5500 like the MTM. I wanted to stay w/ a German company so went w/ the ABT after the MTM. I dont think you can go wrong w/ either..but wanted to give you my experinace w/ two chips....just my 2 cents...not to start a chip flame war....

Cheers
