i redid my tb on friday/sat. and i found that the "diesel" type noise was made by the unproperly tensioned belt... basically i didn't pretension @ 15Nm the belt before tightening the cam sprockets. i also tighten the cam sprocket bolts waaay to tight.
Thanks Jason for really taking the time to input some info about this matter , which is very important imo. and yes you were right a GOOD puller is needed (audi/vw tool) .
