Default Jo Hoppen Motorsports has the WORST service I have ever delt with!!! (More! Read!)

I called up APR and MTM (Jo Hoppen Motorsports) to try and figure out what the difference between their Stage 3 and 3+ (APR) kits. I had the APR chip first and then tried the MTM. I was very impressd with the Smooth power of the MTM. It was also more powerful than the APR. I then proceeded to buy the exhaust. Although much more expensive than APR (just over $3000 for MTM chip and exhaust), I was still satisfied. Now I come to the stage three. Both companies offer it. APR gives you the down pipes with both street legal pipes (w/ cats) and racing pipes (very cool!). MTM offers the down pipes w/ cats only. With MTM you also get a fuel pressure regulator. Now I had the question which is better and how much do they cost? APR was very helpful as they useually are. The price $1645 shipped 2day air (I think). I get on the phone with Jo Hoppen Motorsports and the man answering the phone was very abrubt. I felt as if I was talking to a chimp!! (seriously). I explained that I have the chip and exhaust (stage 2), and I wanted to get the cats and down pipes. He got all confused as if I was speaking German (ha ha). It took him a while but finally figured it out. Price $4400. WHAT!?!?!?!? Almost $3000 more than APR. For what? A fuel pressure regulator? I dont think so. I asked him why was there such a difference in prices between the two. He acted as if the steel used to construct it was from a different planet; like it was so much better. He then asked if Ive seen the two side by side. I said no and then asked him. "Well, no." But thats not the point right?! I dont get it. I felt like I was talking to that BMW salesperson that said BMW got first, second, and third at LeMans. Idiot, that was Audi! Finally after a couple of minutes of him blabing, I hung up. What a loser! Trying to justify a $3000 difference just in the type of steel involved in construction. I know APR is very reputable. What I want to know is can I throw their downpipes on my car and have my MTM chip upgraded to think it has the MTM downpipes, or should I just crossover to APR completely? I love my exhaust and chip but I want more power. That conversation with Jo Hoppen Motorsports has left a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately that relates directly back to MTM. I emailed Stratmosphere (as there was no phone number I could find on their website)but got no reply back. Is this how MTM wants to be represented in the States? Maybe so. Maybe APR is the answer?!

Default Price may be high, but quality is there, and worth it, IMHO.

And if you are not used to talking to Germans, it takes some learning to tell when they are REALLY being rude, and just when the german abruptness appears rude.

Default I had a complete different experience.

I thought I got very good service when I bought my catback. I had called them with a question after I installed it. A couple days later, Hoppen called me to follow up to make sure I was happy. I can't recall that kind of service when I bought any other product for my S4.

Default MTM is a good company and they do not have to justfy their prices. I also think that it is overprice

d but they are not working ads a non-profit organization. Also, they know their **** about audi's. Besides the fuel regulator, you get a quiter system and replacement hoses with MTM. They might have been short with you, but if you have a problem with their products, they will back you up and get it right
