That's an astronomical 1/4 mile for "only" a 4.9 0-60; would have guessed 13.5 for a 4.9 0-60

Chipped S4 still has less HP than that, but better traction off the line, meaing the 0-60 goes by faster (relatively) on an S4 than the 60-xxx part of the quarter mile whereas on an M5 the 60-xxx part of the quarter mile goes by faster (relatively) than the 0-60 part. I don't think I've seen a single car tested in the magazines that turned a 4.9 0-60 and got a 12.9 or better on the quarter.
