just did the math...

theoretically, if i could get at least $18K for my 55k-mile S4 (very good condition; not perfect but definitely 'near perfect'), i could definitely get in a new B7 S4 for $40 less per month than my current payments (yeah yeah, i'm at the end of a 60-month loan, so sue me). i didn't expect the math to work out this way...
so...do i start thinking about a purchase? do i look at other cars in the same $ range (has to be a powerful sedan, awd would be preferable...is there any competition??)...or do i save my money till next spring and go stage <?> instead?

I don't really like the styling of the B7 S4's (IMHO of course). I'd go for a B6 before a B7...
... then again, the sales rep at my local Infiniti dealership told me they were expecting word on an AWD G35 coupe this summer... if that is anything more than just wishful thinking, it may be worth holding out for.

If your happy with the B5, save the money, there is no better feeling than not having a car payment.
I paid both mine off a couple months ago and the feeling is great and theirs more $$ for mods now.
