Default Just got the reply from the latest email I sent to Subaru of America...

Hmmm.... This time their response to my email was sent much faster. I sent my email to them lst night, and I just received their reply now. I will first post the email I sent them last night, and then I will post their reply:

MY EMAIL TO SUBARU:

"I thank you for replying to my email concerning the WRX's false claim of
receiving the Award of best handling. In the Car and Driver magazine
article (which I HAVE, and am a subscriber to), it is noted that the editors
ratings are completely "subjective." Something along the lines of "the
editors FELT the WRX handled better," should have been said... instead of
the WRX was rated (not voted) Best Handling. If you take a look at the
actual performance numbers, which I am sure you all did, you should note:

skidpad: WRX=0.82 S4=0.86
lane change: WRX=66.5 S4=67.8
lap time: S4 "nearly 2 seconds a lap quicker"

On the track, the S4 unquestionably beat the WRX in handling field. Also,
you all mention that 0-60 the WRX is faster by 0.1 seconds. However you oh
so conveniently disregarded the 0-100 acceleration tests, in which the S4
outpaced the WRX and BMW by 0.5 seconds. The lead only grew further until
the 142mph governed limit. It seems to me that the S4 won EVERY category
(especially interior) except for 0-60 and price. I feel that these commercials mislead the general public, and should be edited accordingly.

Please comment on this. Thank you"

THEIR REPLY:

Dear Mr. Helman:

"Thank you for your additional comments about the WRX ads. I will forward
your message to our Advertising Department.

Subaru of America, Inc.
Customer/Dealer Services Department"

The first email (which many of us sent), was responded to with an elaborate paragraph defending their ads. This time, I basically got no response. I know many of you will say "Subaru doesn't have to justify itself to you," but when I email them with more concrete evidence, they do not write a whole song and dance as they did last time. Oh well... Things that make you go "hmmm..."

Default Sadly, I haven't seen the ad, nor can I email Subaru of America about it...

My name is mud there!!! If I were to attempt to correspond with them to correct them...their liars would be after me and ask for their "money" back.

Then, I would be forced to retaliate and let the NJDOT/BBB know that SOA sold a "fruity" car that was not "cured" before it was sold.
