Default VAG needed for Xenon adjustment...

If you simply adjust headlights and go beyond a relatively small adjustment range, I believe that you will soon get an alert on the dash indicating that the auto headlight trim system has malfunctioned, and a DTC from the headlight CPU (I did...).

It's pretty easy to clear the DTC and re-zero the auto trim system using VAG. Check the Bentley manual for the procedure.

I read somewhere here that you can fine trim the headlights using VAG as well, but this is not the procedure I used. I put the headlights into calibrate mode (no trim active), set the lights, then reactivated the auto trim. It seemed to adapt fine to the new position and I have not seen a DTC since!
