just had a Jetta VR6 trying to race me. What a joke.
The guy wouldn't give up, everytime I put a '100' carlengths on him, he would try again and fly by at ridiculous speeds (I was holding back at 80mph in a 55 when he flew by). Next light I just rocketed off to see him disappear in my rearview mirror, but a minute later he came flying by again at stupid speeds. Why are they even trying????

That's funny, I get VWs circle me all the time, giving me a thumbs up!
I've always had complimentary interactions with VDubs. I guess the S4 is like the Big cousin of all VWs =)

you won't be rocketing if one of them has a supercharger or worse, a turbo
As I have both, I can tell you that even though the S4 is "faster" in stop light grand prix matches, it is more fun to drive the VR6. It's light and nimble compared to the pig the S4 is. It's just too bad that the VW is FWD.

The VR6 is more fun than the S4? I have had 2 VR6 GTIs and they are
fun to mod and flog, but nowhere near as much fun as the S4. Maybe thats because they are nowhere near the car the S is. Now the Dahlbach GTI would be another story But I bet it is still a rattle trap like all Vdubs become after 30K or so.
