Just put on AWE DTS.... little bit of whine
transmitted now into the cabin.. I torqued everything down pretty good.. only thing I probably went a little overboard on was the two Hex Bolts that connect the DTS to the Mount... It said only go to about 18 lbs.. but I went until only 2 to 3 thread widths were left between the bar and the mount.. initial 18 lb point only put the hex bolts in about 2 or 3 thread widths into the mount.. and that didn't seem like enough.. Anyone remember about how many threads they left?
Definitely like the shift action better, but that whine may get me to go back to stock...

There should be no gap between the cross bar and the mount (m)
make sure you release the jack supporting the tranny before you torque the hex bolts. Are you using the updated mounts? I had whine and vibration with the mount that came with the original shipment. However, AWE stepped up to the plate and sent updated mounts which alleviated the problem. Good luck/

I just put in my replacement, no gap at all even without bolts, no vibration at idle anymore, need
to go drive it and see how it is on the road.
If the mount rubber is squishy like a stress ball, and has three holes, it's the good one.
If it looks like this:

and the rubber is _HARD_, and there was about a 1/4" 3/8" gap before tightening it's probably the bad one.
Gap does not equal bad, just an observation.
