I was already impressed with how much more power the GIAC chip gave over the stock. Since the X-chip came out, I've been waiting for bugs to come out. Admittedly, I was also a bit skeptical as to how much power GIAC would be able to gain over the previous chip.
Installed the chip at Dynospot last Friday. The first time I turned on the ignition, I noticed the idle was a bit rough but after ~30 sec, things were back to normal. I drove it around for a few miles and decided it was time to test out the new chip. All I can say is the difference is night and day. The power gains are very noticeable. The car pulls much stronger and keeps on going. It would be interesting to race my wife's 996. The last time we raced to 70 (didn't want to go any faster on the local roads), it was dead even. I just hope the hoses stay on.
Does anyone know how much HP the x-chip would give with a Borla catback?

I have the 1.0 bar chip from APR... what is the x-chip and will I also notice a big difference if it were added? Who makes it? I live in SoCal now so I would need to find a dealer here.
