I've come to the realization that the car has *no* equal for the money.
Even at $70,000++, there is no AWD sedan that comes close. Actually there are no high performance AWD sedans period, until you get into a 996tt, excluding the Legacy or WRX.
Driving home today in the beautiful summer weather helped clear my head a bit. I realized it wasn't the car I hated, but the way the dealer treated me and made me feel. In truth, I really love my S4 more than any car I've owned or test driven.
So I guess I will try a different dealer, albiet far away, and perhaps if all else fails, buy a 2001 S4.
