Default hey steve...

while you're at it, I have a schweet 01 C2 w/10000 miles and wouldn't mind trading in 0 out of pocket for a new one ;-P

Default Oh...so you are keeping track of me huh?

Your wife would kill you for getting a new Porsche...we both know she would. :-)

Default not if it didn't cost me anything...

my dealer actually offered me a deal which would have been minimal out of pocket...uh but not actually 0 out of pocket.

Thing is I needed to register my car and get rear tires and something else...so it wouldn't have been too much cash beyond that to start a new lease BUT I got points for actually keeping this car more than a year and I have more miles on it than any of my last three cars hehehehe.

Default You're so bad Pete. I see an 03 in your very near future. When someone like you throws around

ideas like that, knowing you, you'll find a way.

See if your wife hands out Frequent New Porsche miles or something for doing good deeds. You can start by going to garage sales with her. ;-P

Default realistically I'm not going to do it until it's been 2 years...

since I'll be needing new tires again and having to re register. The initial buy-in to my car was $2k (plus I paid a bit of cap cost reduction) and with CA registration being $500+ and tires being another $500+ per pair...almost ISNT a reason to simply replace the car.

But with the house thing coming up...and wanting to race again (we only raced that one time this whole year) a replacement car isn't a very high priority.

Still love the one I have, I'd like to see a bit more difference (like the rumored 3.8 engine) before changing.
