the last few times i've changed ECU's i haven't gotten a low voltage fault code. is that normal?

I wouldn't know whether or not I get it when swapping chips since a st00pid AW'er has my stocker!!

yes - Clear your codes - or the dealer ( if smart enough ) can suspect a chip swap.

no code to clear. i'm saying that the DTC has NOT appeared. is my ECU damaged?

That's odd. What tool are you using to scan for DTC's?
