Default Looking for a general repair cost estimate

Eons ago, I was driving behind a van that was carrying stuff on it's roof and surprise, **** started coming off. I thought I had avoided all the debris when I hear a SMACK coming from the driver's side door.

Long story short, whatever it was put a huge hole in the lower trim. (Thank God it was the trim and not say an oil pan, transmission pan, or an IC). I tried my hand at bondo and didnt do so well:

I guess I could go over it again to smooth it out and pick up some touch up paint but...I don't think it'll look "clean".

Any idea as to what it would cost to replace that? My service advisor said "that is a big job". So I assume it isn't a simple DIY.

Since the car is running right again, I've had more time to go over the little things that have sprung up. This being one of them.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like just a paint job on the rocker panel - $100 -$150. To replace and paint is $250.

repair cost really depends on where you live. not the same in every city.
