Looking for pics of the nicest looking sub/amp installs in an A4/S4

I'm probably going to add an amp + sub to
my car... it's a 02' with bose... suggestions?

also, I want it to look cosmetically nice with
the trunk open, and with the seats down...

I'm not looking for award winning... just
something I'll be happy with.
Also, how do I keep it from moving while
AutoXing or tracking the car?
(I'd rather not have to take it out.)

oh, and I want to keep the stock headunit,
I really love the look of the stock dash.

TIA

it's rather easy

mount the amps on the top of the trunk deck, upside down. Run wires to a sealed box, that is removable for racing/luggage. Use a bracket to fasten the box to the floor for normal driving. Hittin the brakes hard and having a sub box fly through your back seat and hitting u in the head is not much fun from what i have heard. PS, i am selling my subs and amps which would look very nice in your trunk i bet.

Dave, I don't just want a box in the back. I was thinking more along the lines of a

custom molded/sealed enclosure to fit the
entire rear of the trunk (if I use a single 12)

I was thinking of possibly 2 enclosures at
opposite ends if I go with 2 10s, with the amp
in the middle. I hate the look of a single big
ass box in the trunk. I want something that'll
look perfect.

I wanted pics so I could then mix + match what
I like and design something perfect for my own
application.

We hooked the Bose HU up to an RTA and it didn't send output lower than 200hz! :-X

it's up to you, but tubs and enclosures are weight

the car already is a fat pig. How often do you show people your trunk? And why spend the money on a crazy install when u can buy MODS instead

Bimmer Love 12-03-2001 11:43 AM

the car is staying stock. =) besides, I'm not looking for a crazy install... just a box to hold the

sub(s) and an amp. nothing nutty... I mean,
how much could it cost to build a box out of
wood? hell, I did it in shop class in 7th grade.
If I still had access to those tools, it would
take no time at all. I'm thinking I'd be better
off going to a custom furniture store than a
stereo shop to get the box built.

and in plain english that means?? sorry, I don't know jack about audio.

What about de-bosed?

hater 12-03-2001 12:49 PM

there's a certain spacial formula i think, so the sub performs better

like a certain amount of cubic feet or something like that. Just mount the amp on the box and have "quick connects" on the wires so u can pull it in and out quick

missing alot of midbass and bass from your your output. music sounds like crap.
